After it’s opening at Milagro last weekend, El Tesoro will travel to community
settings in Gresham, North Portland, Hillsboro and Cornelius as part of Metro’s
“Let’s Talk Trash” event series to engage the community in discussions about
what systems we should put in place to manage our garbage in the future.
Our
garbage tells stories: what we consume, what we throw away, where we want our
garbage to go and what we expect it to do once it gets there. In the next two
years, the Metro Council will be making decisions that affect where our garbage
goes and what happens to it starting in 2020, and is looking to start the
conversation now with community members.

Nuestra basura cuenta historias sobre nuestra sociedad ligado en lo que consumimos y lo que tiramos. En los próximos dos años, el Consejo de Metro tomará decisiones que afectan el destino final de la basura que generamos, donde esta parara y lo que sucederá a partir del año 2020.
Buscando iniciar la conversación sobre este tema tan importante con miembros de la comunidad con una serie de eventos en el que se hable abiertamente de la basura.
