Looking for a deal on theatre tickets?

If you’re a regular theatergoer, then you probably already know that tickets to Miracle Theatre Group productions are among the most affordable in town, giving you an incredible value for your entertainment dollar. But we know that the “Great Recession” has made us all more careful with our spending, and we want you to share with you the variety of ways our shows are affordable and accessible for everyone.

To begin with, did you know that ticket sales make up only about half of the funding needed to stage our productions? Our staff works diligently to subsidize our tickets through grants from public agencies and private foundations, business contributions and individual donations along with special events, such as our ¡Viva Milagro! Day of the Dead dinner.  This funding, along with in-kind donations and many volunteer hours, is what keeps our tickets affordable even at full price. You can help: Make a donation to the Miracle.

That said, here are some ways you can save on tickets to the Miracle:

The first and foremost way to save money on tickets is to become a subscriber. With season tickets, you not only save money, but you save time, too. And we save you the seats you prefer. It’s not too late to purchase 3, 4 or 5 show season passes ranging from $74 to $104 either online or by calling us at 503-236-7253. You don’t have to choose any dates in advance if you don’t want to, and you can use the admissions in any combination: one at a time, two at a time, or even all at once. And as a subscriber, you can also save $2 off tickets for all your friends when you bring them to the theatre with you!

Tickets are also less expensive when you purchase in advance rather than waiting to buy them at the door on the night of the show. You can purchase in advance online, in person from our offices or by calling us at 503-236-7253.

For many shows, it’s also less expensive if you choose a performance earlier in the run of the show; for example, tickets to see shows during the first couple of weeks are less expensive than if you wait to see the show during the final week of performances.

Plus! When you choose our preview night, the first Thursday of each production, all tickets are only $15.

Furthermore, we can also waive the ticket service handling fee when you purchase in person with cash or check from our offices at 425 SE Sixth Ave. (just around the corner from the theatre entrance). We’re open weekdays 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. And what’s even better is that you can take your tickets with you, so you don’t have to wait in line at the will-call window on the night of the show.

You can also put together a group of 15 or more and receive tickets for only $16 per person when purchased in advance with cash or check.  To arrange for group tickets, contact our Marketing Director Tim Krause at 503-236-7253 or tim@milagro.org.

You can also watch for special discount offers for particular performance dates by following us on Twitter or friending us on Facebook (get to know Martin Milagro or join the Miracle Theatre Group). We also honor Chinook Book 2-for-1 coupons, the Work for Art card and the Portland Mercury’s MerkPerks certificates.

Finally, Miracle is pleased to participate in Portland’s “Arts for All” discounted ticket program for Oregon Trail Card holders. Simply present your Oregon Trail Card and you may purchase a minimum of 2, up to a maximum of 4 tickets per card holder to any of the five productions described at left for only $5 per ticket (cash or check only). For complete details, call 503-236-7253 or visit www.milagro.org.
