For the past few years Miracle Theatre Group has opened up it's doors to the young performers of "Light up the World," a project that grew out of the need for artistic expression by students at Cleveland High School. Every year the group puts on a show with a different theme in an effort to raise funds for charity. This year's program pays tribute to the late Michael Jackson and includes performances by an array of young performers. In addition, the young artists are also presenting a fashion show featuring the work of Neftaly Cristina Paz, a 21 year old fashion designer originally from Baja California Sur.
This year's events will take place at the Miracle Theatre (525 SE Stak St.) Friday and Saturday July 6th and 7th. Doors open at 6pm with an art exhibit that is free and open to the public, followed by the Dance and Fashion Show from 8pm to 9pm. These are the only two performances so don't miss out on a chance to support the young talent in our community!
Proceeds from this year's performances will be donated to Mercy Corps.
